Divisions Compete in The Maths Feast

On Monday 3rd March, four ardent Divisions mathematicians (Abhishek S, Pellis P, Aarav B and Hotin M), selected pursuant to their recent strong performances in the UKMT Intermediate Mathematical Challenge, travelled to Bishop Ramsey School to represent ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú’ in a Maths competition for Year 10 pupils.

The competition was titled The Maths Feast, and was run by the Advanced Maths Support Programme.

This brain stretching event consisted of four challenging rounds, each one designed to test the mathematical logic and general problem-solving aptitudes of our pupils. The diverse problems included a relay requiring us to work in pairs, and a particularly tricky round involving pathways on 3D shapes. Many cube nets were harmed in pursuit of the solutions! Competing against twenty other strong teams from fourteen local schools in the Hillingdon area, our relentless group of four came out on top, securing first place for the School!

Many thanks as well to Ms Isham for accompanying us and the whole Maths department for this unforgettable experience.
